Function
The X5 series provides printing surfaces in the range between 460 x
460 mm and 915 x 610 mm as well as adjustable stencil sizes -
without any need for an adapter - between 300 x 300 mm and 1270 x
1700 mm. The printable circuit-board sizes are equivalent to the
processing capacities of most pick-and-place
Systems.
The X5 is equally suitable for use as an inline printer in high
volume production lines and as a stand alone solution with a
combined loading / unloading system to supply several lines, even
the most basic version of the machine has been configured to freely
alternate between the use of screen and stencil printing techniques.
Particularly in the substantially more challenging
technique of screen-printing, the machines are setting new standards
for accuracy and quality in all applications.
All required parameters have been stored in the printing programme
to reduce reconfiguration times.
The operation of the machine via the EKRA Interface is very easy and
self-explanatory.

The Radial 5 is designed to confront the

and the capability to insert radially taped odd-form components.
Unlike other radial inserters that need to slow down as they handle
odd-form component body styles, the Radial 5 can remain at a

For single-process sequencing and insertion of axial components and
jumper wires, the VCD/Sequencer delivers reliable productivity. An
EXTREMELY LOW error rate is the result of Universal Instruments’
enduring lineage of through hole development and leadership.
Component changeover is minimized with MANY available inputs on the
expandable sequencer.

Conventional component insertion is achieved in three stages.
To insert 0.3 and 0.6 inch dual-in-line packages we have a Universal
Multi-Mod 6772a and an Amistar CI3000. This gives us the capability
of inserting over 5000 components per hour.
For axial component insertion we have 2 Amistar AI6448 axial
inserters capable of inserting 6000 components per hour. As the
parts are fitted they are verified for value, inserted, crimped and
the leads cut. This results in an efficient and accurate building
process.
Our Universal Rad5 radial component inserter allows the fitting of
0.1 and 0.2 inch pitch Radial components that includes LEDs
transistors, capacitors, etc... at an insertion rate of 6000
components per hour. Again a built in verifier ensures that the
corrent component is inserted correctly. |

Trident III: Trident III is capable of removing all
flux residues including Rosin, No-Clean, and Water Soluble. Both
lead and lead-free flux residues may be removed using Trident III.
Trident III is equipped with an automatic chemical injection system
that automatically adds a programmable volume of defluxing chemical
to the wash water. Trident III is equipped with a closed-loop wash
solution recycling system. Wash solution is heated automatically
and sprayed onto the assemblies. At the end of the wash cycle, the
wash solution is directed back to the wash solution holding tank for
subsequent reuse. Rinse water is then sprayed onto the assemblies
until the desired cleanliness level is achieved. All rinse water is
directed through the pre-drain filtration system then sent to
drain. Assemblies are dried via the on-board convection and radiant
forced air drying system. Trident III is equipped with a host of
standard features including programmable maintenance reminders,
remote SPC viewing, SPC data USB export, and an built-in chemical
management system. An optional Zero-Discharge evaporation system
eliminates connection to a drain line.

All cleaning systems ending in 'ZD' are
equipped with the Model E101 evaporator. Aqueous Technologies' E101
evaporator provides an impressive 13 GPH evaporation rate. The E101
is equipped with a large 136 gallon capacity holding tank, multiple
status indicators, sight glass, and a corrosion resistant fully
insulated stainless steel evaporation tank.
The E101 evaporator is designed to be
connected to the discharge of batch-format defluxing or stencil
cleaning systems to provide a zero-discharge environment. The E101
is equipped with a communication connector that signals the cleaning
system if the evaporator is full.
